I last visited Sicily in the early eighties and I am hoping to visit again in the near future. As an experienced sailor I am looking forward to getting out on the water in the Southern Mediterranean. I am currently learning Italian, reading the complete works of Andrea Camilleri along with the Inspector Montalbano TV series.
I have been following your blog for some time and I look forward to your updates especially from the perspective of someone making a life in Sicily.

    Kind Regards,

    Jim

      Dear Jim,
thank you very much for your comment. It is actually Montalbanos fault I am here and I told him so. I saw the TV series in Sweden 2006 and booked my next holiday to Ragusa area not knowing it was filmed there. I decided to change my life the second I walked out from the airport and my friend agreed. Making a living here needs good planning. It is not complicated as sicilians says, it is just difficult in the beginning. But then the island opens up and there are no limits. If you ever stop by, you have a sicilian aperitivo waiting for you!
      Yours,
      Johanna
