Well, the last months has happened alot. Been struggling with my residence and finally sorted it out. In Catania the women in the comune didn't understand that I have an income, so I had to call some muscles to help out and now all ok.
Been to Rome to renew my passport, costs about 200 euro to get a swedish passport by the embassy plus travel costs, but now one worry is of my mind. The passport is my most important document and it has to work. A bank lady here broke it...
The airport in Catania has been closed and still is even if the work to improve the pist was supposed to finish two days ago. So all flights goes by Sigonella, the military airport just a stone-throw-away from Catania. This is quite a good example how Sicily works; the media wrote to open Comiso airport, a brand new airport built but not in use as a minister in Rome refuses to sign the last ok. But, population knew that Sigonella is to be the support airport while Catania is closed and that's the way it went. So read media and expect the opposite.
So some weeks after Sigonella was in use, the minister signed a ok for Comiso airport to open in 150 days, so let's see...
The ex-mayor of Ragusa, Nello di Pasquale, refuse to be called by his new title "Onorevole" as he is in the sicilian government now and wrote on his official Facebook page that he is Nello per tutti! = Nello for everybody!
Sicily has a new president Rosario Crocetta. He seems to have more balls than Lombardo as Rosario in one of his first debates on RAI made it clear that companies with registered office in Milano, but pollution Sicily with their production located here, shall pay taxes in Sicily and not in Milano!
Lombardo, Sicily's ex-president, showed up some time ago with a blue eye saying that he fell in his country house, but actually he got beaten up by angry catanesi not far from where I live today.
WindJet seems to sell tickets even if it is officially down. Maybe they got economical back up. Gotta check it up!
Some pics from a rainy Rome
