This insect in the sicilian fauna is named Mantide Religiosa and she kills her mate after mating. It is very rare to see them but last sunday during the hike we were lucky to find one. In Sicily making jokes about men is not appreciated, but bad and cruel jokes about women seems to be allowed, so of course I took the chance to say to the men in the group that we women should learn something from this insect. I do not need to write the reactions here.
