Small village of 3000 inhabitants known for its Murales paintings. Since 1994 about 30 artists contributed with their art on this villages facades. In August takes place a folkloristic dance “Ballo della Cardella”. A fertility dance around a three meter high pole, which is identical to our viking tradition in Midsummer.

A place supposed to visit quickly, but stayed almost three hours. I just could not leave. A place that breathes between the earth and sky. Somehow lucky being completely alone. When I decided to leave people showed up.
The story of founder Lorenzo: My father wanted me to be a shepherd. One night I went out to breathe under the stars. The idea of the theater was conceived by “the Spirit, like the wind, blows where it wishes”. At the end of the nineteenth century it blew here on this hill, where I used to take the sheep at sunset to ruminate in peace. So I decided to build a stone theater here.
Many years later, I learned that the Andromeda Constellation Galaxy M31 will merge with our Galaxy in about four and a half billion years and I began to raise a sacred fence to the 108 visible stars of the Andromeda Constellation.
Now listen to the silence, sit on a star and look to the Earth. This is not a theater … but a spaceship that is traveling slowly towards the Andromeda Galaxy.

In these small sicilian towns, hidden between the mountains you find the sicilian lifestyle. Take a coffee and study the people. Seeing these old men in the Piazza and Tabacchaio corners talking and talking, surely about the same things they talked yesterday and last week…and life goes on.
Walking to the narrow streets meeting women talking to each other about Idda and Iddu (her and him) and other neighbor issues to be solved. Perhaps it wa someones birthday, or foreigners bought a house in the area, or baptism of grand kids…and life goes on.
Rent a car, drive around, take your time, drink that coffe in central Piazza…relax. People stare, they ask the cafe owner who these new comers are… And this is life! Not much has changed since the last century.

We visited a location called Piano Casazze in Sicily. On this place was located a very important greek city built 400-300 B.C. It was a agricultural business city where also their money called Galaria had a grape symbol. Money had different symbols depending of the area and what was mainly produced in that area. People lived in caves and structures built of stone. Under the hill you can find an arabian synagogue. The historical guide said the origins are from 2500-1500 B.C. I have to ask again…
